Pipeline Workshop™ No. 5: Save the Date

Pipeline Workshop™ No. 5, the fifth open, sponsored production management workshop we have done, is set for March 16-17, 2016, at the Ponte Vedra Inn and Club in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida.  It is sponsored, once again, by BUILDER and BuilderMT.

Clark Ellis and Brandon Hart (Continuum Advisory Group) are again co-facilitating, and Continuum AG now joins SAI Consulting as a business partner in this event.

“The exercises and processes opened my eyes to immediate steps I had to take to become a better builder.”  (Lusant Ordonez, CEO, Zenodro Homes, Altamonte Springs, FL)

Here is the link to the website:  http://buildervelocity.com/  It has the registration and hotel reservation links, provides information about the workshop, and contains additional reviews from builders who have attended previous workshops.  There is also a downloadable Adobe PDF file with detailed information about the venue, agenda, and schedule.

As always, we have tried to improve on what is already a very good learning experience.

We have lengthened the schedule by one hour, enabling us to do more with Critical Chain Project Management and Epic Partnering™, the two velocity accelerators we are highlighting this go-around.

We are also allowing for more scenarios in the production simulator and business game we call the Pipeline game™.  In earlier workshops, we had improved what was already a great tool, making the game shorter and faster, and using an income statement that modeled the specific attributes of homebuilding operations, not manufacturing;  more learning, less time.

There is plenty of opportunity for networking, including the reception at the end of the first day;  the Ponte Vedra Inn and Club is unquestionably a terrific ocean resort venue.

Pipeline workshops™ are unlike any other homebuilding conference.  The split is 70/30, simulation/case study to lecture;  the format is interactive and competitive, with Pipeline game™ production simulations and a business case study that test attendees’ understanding of production management and ability to solve production problems;  the Pipeline workshop™ builds an intuitive, instinctive understanding of production principles and disciplines.

Creating the visual image of homebuilding production;  establishing the connection between operating decisions and business outcomes;  building a new way of thinking systemically – a paradigm shift – towards solving core problems and managing constraints;  managing limited capacity and resources, doing more with less;  dealing with variation;  managing homebuilding production as the multi-project type of workflow that it truly is;  and placing the emphasis on the actions that accelerate velocity.

This is what a Pipeline workshop™ is all about.

Come.  Participate.  Learn.

The cost is $850.00 per person;  early registration (through December 31, 2015) is $725.00.

Sponsored by BUILDER and BuilderMT.
